i’m a venezuelan founder who has spent most of my life between venezuela and the united states.
before tesote, i built and operated a b2b payments business in venezuela. i later moved into fintech in the u.s., working at synapse and rho across growth, customer experience and product.
that combination shaped how i build. i’m drawn to difficult operational problems, especially where fragmented infrastructure creates work that should not exist. solving them requires staying close to customers and understanding how the work actually happens.
i co-founded tesote in 2023 to make financial operations simpler for businesses.
tesote connects companies to their banks and financial systems, bringing accounts, balances, transactions and workflows into one place. companies use the platform to manage treasury, reporting, reconciliation, collections and other processes that are still far more manual than they should be.
we started in venezuela, where financial complexity is part of operating almost any meaningful business. building there forced us to solve hard problems around connectivity, currencies, reliability and enterprise implementation from the beginning.
today, tesote works with finance teams across venezuela and other markets in latin america and the caribbean.
AI is changing how companies interact with software. for decades, businesses have adapted themselves to rigid systems, moving information between tools while much of the actual work happens through spreadsheets, email and manual follow-up.
tesote AI is our first step toward a different model. it uses a company’s own financial data, systems, rules and workflows to help teams analyze information, create reports and automate repetitive work with the controls serious organizations require.
that build did not start from scratch. the engine underneath tesote already connects to enterprise systems, understands company context, executes workflows with permissions and approvals, and preserves a traceable record of what happened. those are the same foundations enterprises need to run AI agents reliably at scale, and they have shaped tesote AI from the beginning.
my cofounders and i are based in the united states, and tesote is headquartered in miami. we built much of our careers in u.s. fintech, while tesote itself was built across latin america. miami keeps us close to both.
we are still early in defining the exact u.s. opportunity, but the direction is clear: use the engine and experience we already have to solve a much broader set of enterprise problems that AI now makes possible.
i’m ambitious about what tesote can become, but i’m skeptical of shortcuts and stories that get too far ahead of reality.
i believe in getting the fundamentals right and earning the right to expand. difficult markets can produce exceptional companies, and latin american founders can build globally important technology companies without treating the region as a temporary stop along the way.
tesote is still at the beginning of what it can become. that is what makes this stage so interesting.
